Hackney Council has now produced consultation documents about road closures in the London Fields area. They list various options for change, and we looked at them in this blog post. As expected, advocates of the previous (now abandoned) proposals are lobbying hard for "Option 1," which will close the largest number of roads to through-traffic.
This blog post isn't won't revisit arguments about if you have to close Middleton Rd to get a Quietway, alternative routes, or the desirability of turning a grid of quiet streets in to a maze.
